Just wondering if one of the Reverend’s ever pulled Michael off to the side and shared the gospel of Jesus Christ with him. Both Reverend’s seem to be so involved in Micheal’s welfare now that he is gone. All I hear from both of them is me and Michael this, and me and Michael that, but I haven’t heard one word from either whether they ever attempted to share the gospel. Because they are such high profile reverends it just seems odd that no mention of Michael’s salvation is ever commented on. As a reverend, that’s your primary job, leading people to Christ. I guess that is contingent upon what kind of reverend you are, your own reverend or a reverend of Christ.

His brother Jermaine said the he hoped Allah would bless Michael. Fat chance!

It makes me reflect on the fact that we as Christian’s may be held accountable for not sharing the gospel with those in our lives that need it. I know that I am guilty. God places us in the path of those who don’t know the gospel counting on us to carry out the Great Commission. The Great Commission is not the great suggestion.

I see the millions of people’s lives and all the varied cultures that Michael had an influence on. Just think, if one time, he would have stood up and said, “I love Jesus” the untold people he could have influenced for the Kingdom of God. Sad.

I wish his family well. What a blessing it would have been for his Christian fans to know that Michael was a Christian.

I will endeavor to lead someone to Christ this week.

Last week while nearly every news organization on US soil was making busy showing Michelle Obama touching the queen. Here is a photo that wasn’t shown.  This was a “touching” monent that won’t be forgotten by this bobby.

Remember they are not supposed to shake hands, but the two brothers couldn’t resist the historic moment. The black royal cop never imagined in his wildest dream that he would usher a black American president into the British corridors of power. Nice.

By now you’ve probably heard that Bishop Gene Robinson the man chosen to give the opening inaugural prayer says he won’t invoke the name of Jesus in the prayer. Instead he will pray to the “god of our understandings.”

I have no idea or advance knowledge of what Bishop Robinson will be praying for or what blessing he’ll be asking. Idle chatter, sweet sanitized words simply put it his prayer will be for the ears of men. Another shameful example of how far we have strayed.
Millions of ears will hear the Bishop’s prayer but will the Almighty God turn a deaf ear because Bishop Robinson side stepped his son Jesus?

There is only one way to the Father and that way is through his son Jesus. No side road, no shortcut, no back door the only path is Jesus.

On Tuesday as eyes and ears of the world are fixed up on Obama’s inauguration, stop and have a talk with Jesus.

The more I think about this event the stranger it becomes. To be honest this is just way too convenient. Can anyone out there give a reasonable explanation why a hacker group with a well publicized cyber war against Scientology target Sarah Palin?

When the rest of the lower 48 were introduced to Sarah Palin one of the first facts learned was her notoriety for using two blackberry devices, one for official state business use and the other for personal usage. Could it be that the truth behind “Troopergate” is buried within Sarah’s emails or is this just another McCain camp ploy to keep Obama off the lips and minds of the voting public? Enough speculation, I’ll just offer up the facts.

Q: Who initially welcomed the investigation in to “Troopergate” vowing complete cooperation?
A: Sara Palin.

Q: What event ripped Obama from the global headlines before most of the delegates from the DNC returned home?
A: McCain selecting Palin as his running mate.

Q: As Obama’s lead in the national polls grew by 8 points and real issues were coming to the forefront how did the McCain camp respond?
A: Sarah Palin released the pregnancy of her daughter to the press.

Q: As Obama linked the McCain economic policies to the same Bush policies and the failure of Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac, the McCain camp presented what argument?
A: A week of nonsense accusing Obama of referring to Palin as a pig.

Q: The Alaskan legislature wants to bring “Troopergate” to a conclusion by mid October, who’s stalling the investigation?
A: Sarah Palin and members of her Alaskan governor staff on the advice of the McCain camp.

Q: Now that Palin’s conducting of government business via private email accounts has come in to scrutiny and revelation that information crucial to other investigations might be held within the content of those private accounts what has happened? Before you answer let me tack this on, is it not just way too convenient how a Palin incident has surfaced once again to divert the McCain camp focus from the growing failure of America financial systems.
A: The alleged hacked account deleted and a second private email account of Governor Palin also deleted.

Just way too convenient, America searching for “CHANGE” and John “Maverick” McCain serves up another Sarah Palin mystery.

A strange hacking incident earlier today tied up another loose end for Gov. Sarah Palin.

Sometime last night or early this morning, one of Palin’s Yahoo e-mail accounts was compromised, allegedly by the group of hackers known as “Anonymous.” Hackers apparently cracked the password to the e-mail address “gov....@yahoo.com,” posted it to a public forum, and then multiple users copied some of the e-mails and information the acccount contained. One user eventually reset the password, notified a Palin family friend of the security breach, and the Yahoo account was soon deleted. Simultaneously, a second personal Yahoo account used by Palin, “gov....@yahoo.com,” was also deleted.

Being in the lower 48 states, articles from the Anchorage Daily News will probably go unnoticed  by most Amarilloans.

In a controversial move a private lawyer Thomas Van Flein hired to represent Republican VP nominee Sarah Palin in Monegan inquiry has requested that all witness statements, documents and other materials collected in the course of the investigation be given to him.

There is so much more going on behind the McCain camp, don’t lose focus on a teenage pregnancy !!!

Read this next line closely it is a direct quote from the Alaskan newspaper. “It wasn’t immediately clear who hired and who is paying for Thomas Van Flein, who is with a large Alaskan law firm.”

Van Flein also wants to dictate how the investigation is handled, he wants the investigation handled by the Alaskan state three-member personnel board, not the Alaskan Legislature.

The Alaska Legislature approved spending up to $100,000 to investigate the circumstances surrounding the firing of the commissioner, Walt Monegan. The Legislature also hired Steve Branchflower as special counsel for the investigation. Monegan believes he was pushed out at least in part because he had refused to fire a state trooper who is Palin’s ex-brother-in-law and who the family considered dangerous and a “loose cannon.”

How controversal are Van Flein’s request?  When received by the special counsel they were forwared to the project director for legislative investigation, Alaskan state Senator Hollis French. French an Anchorage Democrat and former state prosecutor says NO WAY TO BOTH REQUEST. In a written response to Van Flein French wrote:

“Governor Palin has repeatedly stated that she has nothing to hide and that she and her administration will cooperate fully with this investigation. Is your client aware that you seem to be challenging the Legislature’s jurisdiction?”

“I think you will agree that it would be highly unusual for an investigator to share information with one of the targets of the investigation. I am unaware of any precedent for such an arrangement.”

French has instructed special counsel Branchflower not to provide the letters or witness statements.  Although Govenor Palin has agreed to cooperate with the investigation, Branchflower is still trying to interview her. His latest request was Thursday morning, and he hasn’t gotten a response.

Palin was in Arizona with John McCain Thursday, McCain announced on Friday that Palin was his vp pick.

“Clearly the Governor’s new political role will make it more challenging for her to make time for this investigation,” French wrote. “Nevertheless, her repeated promises to cooperate fully with the investigation, as well as statements that her new role as the Republican vice presidential nominee will not interfere with the day-to-day functioning of state business, should result in a concrete willingness to schedule and conclude her deposition.”

French said in a telephone interview Monday that he was surprised that the governor’s office had private counsel for the investigation. Usually, the attorney general would represent the governor’s office, “at least for anything that happens I think in her capacity as a governor, which is clearly this,” he said.

All of America now knows what John McCain has known before he selected Sarah Palin as his running mate. The fact that teenagers engage in sex and teenage pregnancy occurs should have no shock value. This is only a ploy by the McCain camp to distract from valid campaign issues. Hurricane Gustav wasn’t providing enough distraction therefore the McCain camp released to the press Bristol Palin’s pregnancy.

Obama’s statement on the pregnancy:

“Let me be as clear as possible,” Obama said. “I think people’s families are off-limits, and people’s children are especially off-limits. This shouldn’t be part of our politics. It has no relevance to Gov. Palin’s performance as governor or her potential performance as a vice president.”
Obama said reporters should “back off these kinds of stories” and noted that he was born to an 18-year-old mother.

“How a family deals with issues and teenage children, that shouldn’t be the topic of our politics, and I hope that anybody who is supporting me understands that’s off-limits.”

Now that we’ve gotten beyond the non issues, let’s focus on what the McCain camp doesn’t want you to know. The British press released this story today: “Sarah Palin’s record in office is facing increasing scrutiny after it emerged that she misled Republican supporters when she was presented to the nation as Senator John McCain’s running mate.”

A quick search of USA press sources revels nothing on this subject, however it has not gone unnoticed by the blogging community.

Sarah Palin’s record in office is facing increasing scrutiny after it emerged that she misled Republican supporters when she was presented to the nation as Senator John McCain’s running mate.

The Governor of Alaska gave a misleading version of events over a controversial bridge project in her home state when she made her maiden speech as the presumptive nominee.

Mrs Palin told a cheering audience in Ohio that she had turned down an offer from the US Congress to build the so-called “Bridge to Nowhere”, which would have connected Gravina Island with Ketchikan International, an airport in Alaska’s southeast serving just 200,000 passengers a year. Mr McCain routinely cites the £100 million project as a symbol of wasteful central government spending.

As she introduced herself to Republicans and the American public on Friday, the virtually unknown Mrs Palin said: “I championed reform to end the abuses of earmark spending by Congress. In fact, I told Congress … ‘thanks, but no thanks’ on that bridge to nowhere. If our state wanted a bridge, I said we’d build it ourselves.”

However it emerged that in a 2006 interview with the Anchorage Daily News during her gubernatorial campaign, Mrs Palin had a different view of the bridge.

Asked “would you continue state funding for the proposed Knik Arm and Gravina Island bridges?” she replied: “Yes. I would like to see Alaska’s infrastructure projects built sooner rather than later. The window is now - while our congressional delegation is in a strong position to assist.”

A woman came out of her house and saw 3 old men with long white beards sitting in her front yard. She did not recognize them. She said ‘I don’t think I know you, but you must be hungry. Please come in and have something to eat.’

‘Is the man of the house home?’, they asked.

‘No’, she replied. ‘He’s out.’

‘Then we cannot come in’, they replied.

In the evening when her husband came home, she told him what had happened.

‘Go tell them I am home and invite them in!’

The woman went out and invited the men in.

‘We do not go into a House together,’ they replied. ‘Why is that?’ she asked.

One of the old men explained: ‘His name is Wealth,’ he said pointing to one of his friends, and said pointing to another one, ‘He is Success, and I am Love.’ Then he added, ‘Now go in and discuss with your husband which one of us you want in your home.’

Civil rights leader’s children battle each other over estates

JULY 11–A family dispute over the valuable estates of Martin Luther King Jr. and Coretta Scott King has landed the late couple’s children in court, with two of the siblings claiming that a third has misappropriated money from their parent’s estates. Bernice King and Martin Luther King III charge that, in late June, their brother Dexter improperly transferred “substantial funds” from Bank of America to accounts he controls, according to a Superior Court lawsuit filed yesterday in Fulton County, Georgia. The Bank of America account contains funds from the estate of Coretta Scott King, who died in 2006 at age 78. Bernice King, 45, is administrator of her late mother’s estate, while Dexter, 47, is president of the Estate of Martin Luther King Jr. corporation, of which the siblings are all shareholders.

The operation of that business is in disarray, with the siblings “deadlocked” in its management, according to the complaint, which charges that the company’s assets are “being misapplied or wasted.”
